Creatures of the Night Book Tag!

Ohayo book lovers!Halloween is here and... Another book tag is here again! This is originally created by my favourite booktuber Katytastic! It's really interesting so let's get started!

1. Vampire:
I really love vampires, so this is an easy question! :D
I love Allison Sekemoto in Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa! She is just such a kick ass vampire!

2. Werewolf:
Werewolves, not really a creature that I like...
But I guess will choose Luke from The Mortal Instruments series.

3. Zombie:
R from the Warm Bodies!

4. Ghost:
Someone from The Infernal Devices (It's a spoiler so SHHH!)

5. Witch/Warlock/Spellcaster:
Now now, who can resist the hot bae warlock from the Mortal Instruments: Magnus Bane!

6. Fairy/Fae:
Hate them so skip!

7.Demon:
All of Cassandra Clare's books, it has lots of demons inside!

8.Angel:
Will Herondale from The Infernal Devices!

9. Alien:
Daemon Black from The Lux Series! Such a hot guy!

10. Supernatural Humans:
Gwen Frost from the Mythos Academy Series! Her power is just so cool! Love her!

All right, that is all for this tag! Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I am writing it! Until the next post, happy reading guys! Muacks! XD

Because Feelings Matter Book Tag

I saw this tag on this blog and thought that it would be really interesting to do this! So let's get started!

1. What book made you feel confident, either about yourself or your life?
Eh... I would have to go with Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Rose Hathaway actually shows how she overcomes her own fears, confusion and obstacles. he developed a lot and it made me feel how I felt a vibe from her, making me feel confident about myself!

2. What book make you feel sympathetic or sympathise greatly with the characters?
No need to explain this. It has got to be The Fault in our Stars (TFIOS) by John Green!

3. What book made you feel anxious?
Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea! I was gripping the book so hard when I was reading this book that my knuckles turned white! It was really just so intense especially when the ending didn't exactly ended the way which I thought it would!

4. What book made you feel annoyed?
The Immortals series by Alyson Noel. It was still tolerable in the first 2 books, but at the 3rd book, I was so annoyed that I nearly tore the book into half. Worst reading experience -_-|||

5. What book made you feel disappointed?
I think I will get hated by the fangirls if I say this, but its have to be Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I heard a lot of hype going on with this book, however, I really couldn't get into this book at all! It kept switching between perspectives and the time, I really wasn't able to fully grasp the whole situation of the book and I was really disappointed in myself that I wasn't able to enjoy this book like the others...

6. What book made you feel confused?
The Unseen duology by Cusick, Richie Tankersley... The ending just really got me so confused! I liked the books, but then the ending just confused me so much that after reading it the last chapter for the 4th time, I still don't get what it was actually trying to convey to the readers... Even a friend of mine who read it together with me had a hard time understanding this book too!

7. What book made you feel satisfied?
Twilight. I felt so satisfied when I finally finished the whole of this series! Especially the ending, I LOVE IT! It was a really tough journey when I was reading New Moon and Eclipse, but it was just so worth it! Happy and Satisfied!!!

8. What book made you feel like you could really relate to the main character?
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I was just like Cath, reading, nerdy, anti-social, not outspoken (unless you know me really well, you will see a new side of me). Yeah, typically just me. :D

Okay, that is all for this tag! Hope that you guys enjoy it as much as I was writing it. Have a great time reading this week! Muacks! XD

Friday Reads #12

Ohayo guys! Friday is here again! So what are you guys reading?

As for me, it's going to be The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Still at the same place where I left off because I was distracted by many things during the weekends and I have homework to complete for school.
However, I am also reading Clockwork Angel manga by Cassandra Clare as well whenever I have the time. It's really good, and I am only at Chapter 3 but I am really loving it!

All right, that is all for now, stay tuned for up coming posts! Until then, happy reading! Muacks!

Book Sacrifice Tag!

Ohayo guys! Welcome back to my blog! Here's another tag created by a booktuber: Ariel Bissett! Let's begin!

1. An over-hyped book: Let's say you are in a bookstore, just browsing, when BAM! ZOMBIE ATTACK! Announcement comes over the PA system saying that the military has discovered that the zombies' only weakness is over-hyped books. What book that everyone else says is amazing but you hated so you start chucking at the zombies knowing that it will count as an over-hyped book and successfully wipe them out?
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor... Just can't get into the writing style and everything.

2. A sequel: Let's say you've just left the salon with a SMASHING new haircut and BOOM: Torrential downpour. What sequel are you willing to use as an umbrella to protect yourself?
I think is asking for a sequel which I hate, I guess the only reason I will hate sequels is because I can't remember ANYTHING about the previous book and I think I will be going with the Violet Eden series by Jessica Shirvington. The first 3 books: Embrace, Entice and Emblaze are really good and I enjoyed it a lot. However, the 4th book Empower took a year to be released which turns out I already forgot the previous books. Therefore, I hate the sequels and it's going to be my umbrella!

3. A Classic: Let’s say you’re in a lecture and your English teacher is going on and on about how this classic changed the world, how it revolutionized literature and you get so sick of it that you chuck the classic right at his face because you know what? This classic is stupid and it’s worth detention just to show everyone how you feel! What Classic did you chuck?
I don't read a lot of Classics now so I'm skipping this question.

4. Your Least Favourite Book of Life!: Let’s say that you’re hanging out at the library when BAM global warming explodes and the world outside becomes a frozen wasteland. You’re trapped and your only chance for survival is to burn a book. What is the book you first run to, your least favourite book of all life, what book do you not fully regret lighting?
The Immortal series by Alyson Noel. Hated the whole series, although the first book is a good read, after the first book? Burn it, BURN IT!

Okay, this is getting really dangerous. That is all for this tag. Thanks for reading! Until the next post, happy reading this weekend guys! Muacks! XD

Would You Rather Tag! (Book Edition)

Hi guys! I am back with another tag! Today, I will be doing a book edition Would You Rather tag! And let's get started! :D

1. Would you rather read only trilogies or stand-alones?
Preferably stand-alones for me. Trilogies are still okay, but most of the time I would only read it as a library book and won't buy it to collect it, unless I have full confidence that I will love it a lot. To be honest, I don't like to read books with 4 or more books, I tend to find it boring even when the books are really fast paced. (PS. if you are wondering, yes, Twilight was quite a struggle to read, but it was a much better book to read than other books already, lucky! :D)

2. Would you rather read only female or male authors?
Hmm, no preference actually, I really enjoy both genders writing!

3. Would you rather shop at Barnes&Nobles or Amazon?
None. I don't have B&N in my country and the shipping fee for Amazon books are just so expensive! I only buy books from either online with free shipping for great deals or my local bookstores.

4. Would you rather all books become movies or TV shows?
Movies! Although they some times do a really bad job for movie book adaptations. However, TV shows might be too lengthy, adding in extra scenes that are not in the book just to make things more interesting, and I won't be able to catch up with every episodes that is aired, so Movies it is!

5. Would you rather read 5 pages per day or read 5 books per week?
5 pages per day. I know that it is really little, but I only have a short amount of time to do my reading every week especially when I am in school. Even when I am having my holidays, most of the time I get too distracted by other stuffs and won't be able to do much reading. Also, I like to read books slowly to fully experience the adventures of the books. 5 books per week is just too pressurizing, I might just get myself into a reading slump instead!

6. Would you rather be a professional reviewer or author?
Professional reviewer I guess? My English isn't really that strong, so let's not take the risk. Plus, what I am doing now is already reviewing books, so professional reviewer it is!

7. Would you rather only read your top 20 favourite books over and over or always read new ones that you haven't read before?
Hmm... I don't think the books that I have read which are my favourites even hit 20... I guess reading new ones, to get more into other authors' writing styles and the different books that awaits for me to read it in the future!

8. Would you rather be a librarian or a book seller?
Librarian, since I would want to communicate with more people who likes reading and helping them to find the books that they want. If I am to be a book seller, I think within a month, it will close down if the economy isn't booming, so let's not take that risk! At least a librarian does not have to be troubled over the number of books that they sold and how much they earned that month... ( I am pretty realistic aren't I? )

9. Would you rather only read your favourite genre or every genre except your favourite?
My favourite genre. After all, it is my favourite, right? XD

10. Would you only read physical books or eBooks?
Definitely physical books! I don't really read that fast with eBooks, it just takes ages for me to even finish one book. Also, physical books has those book smells and I won't be able to get the feeling of flipping the pages if I am reading my eBooks.

All right, that is all for this tag! I hope you guys enjoy reading this post! Until then, have a great time reading this week guys! Muacks! XD

Friday Reads #11

Ohayo book lovers! Welcome back to my blog! Here's another update on what I am reading this weekend!
I am reading 2 books this weekend!
1. Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma
2.The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
I am about 40% into Forbidden and this is really a good read!
As for The Night Circus, I am also about 40% into the book. It's a really slow pace book so it's really hard to finish the book in one go.
All right, that is all for this week's Friday Reads! I hope you guys enjoy this post!
Until next time, have a fun time reading this weekend! Muacks! XD

Bookish Scenarios Book Tag

Another Book Tag! I saw this tag on YouTube where my favourite booktuber, Katytastic, is doing this tag! So I am going to do this! :D Let's begin!
PS. I will be doing this tag with the books that I have read and not based on the books which I have on my bookshelf! :)

1.You have to get rid of all your books and you can only keep one from each of these genres- contemporary, fantasy, non-fiction and one other genre of your choosing. What books do you keep?
Okay, this is hard... For contemporary, I am going with Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I love love love~ this book! I read it in one sitting and I enjoyed it so much! Next, Fantasy, assuming that I can pick series, I am going with the Blood of Eden trilogy by Julie Kagawa to keep. For non-fiction, none. I don't read that many non-fiction books. So last but not least, a genre which I choose. That will be paranormal. Again, assuming I can choose series to keep, I am going to go with the Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep!

2. You are at the bookstore and you hear a teenager telling their mom that they don't like to read, but their mom insists that they pick something. You walk over and recommend a book you think is great for poeple who aren't big on reading- what book is it?
Okay, so different people has different taste of the genre that they like... I will most likely tell them to try Harry Potter. I mean who doesn't love this series? Although it was quite a struggle for me to read them until I was 13, so hopefully they are around that age which makes them more likely to enjoy this book. Or maybe it's me that I wasn't able to enjoy this book at that time... Whatever, moving on!

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in a great mood?
The Infernal Devices trilogy. Who doesn't feel better when there is Will Herondale? *_*

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading?
Definitely Twilight. No words to be said on this.

5. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day trip and you have 1 hour to pack. Which book do you bring to read on your way?
Between the Spark and the Burn by April Genevieve Tucholke I guess. That's what I am currently reading so that is what I will be going with. Plus, it's fast pace so I won't fall asleep while I am on my way there.

6. Your house has been robbed! Don't worry- everyone is safe, but your bookshelf has been raided. What's the book you really hope is safe.
PS. This will be a book that is actually on my bookshelf.
Twilight again. It's my biggest treasure that I ever own, my first ever book, bought by my own money which I saved up for months! So of course this book has to be safe!

7.You friend borrows a book and returns it in awful condition. Do you a)Just pretend you haven't noticed. b) Ask them to repurchase it. c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs.
Okay, if you don't know me I will actually go with C. I mean this is my thinking, like you deserve it for destroying my babies. So you have to pay it back with something which you also like getting destroyed. And then I will go with B. No matter how expensive it might be, they have to buy it to pay me back before I can forgive them. And if my book is a  hardback and I paid a lot of money for it and you happen to destroy it, be prepared to buy me back the same exact book no matter how much it costs you. *innocent smile* No way will I pretend nothing happen, not even my best friend can do this to my books!

This is getting way out of hand. Al right, that is all for this tag! I hope you guys enjoy reading it. Until next time, happy reading! Muacks! XD

October Readathon 2014 TBR

Hi guys, if you saw my previous post the other day on this readathon thing, then you will most likely know what this post will be about. However, if you are not sure, check out my previous post: http://seahyouying.blogspot.sg/2014/10/24-hour-readathon-october-2014.html  and then go to this URL: http://24hourreadathon.com/2014/09/17/october-2014-reader-sign-ups/  if you are unsure of anything about this readathon! Okay, moving on.

This will be the books that I am planning to read that day. Not going to be too ambitious since I have events before the start of the readathon which will probably affect my reading so most likely going to go with 1 or at most 2 books.
1. I am going to be reading Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma! Excited to start on this book since it was my TBR of the month as well.

2. Most likely starting on Panic by Lauren Oliver, but if I am not able to enjoy it fully or I can't grasp the whole situation going on(since I will be tired and confused, maybe I will stop there and get some sleep before continuing it the next morning or whatever time I have left OR read Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. Either way is fine for me :)

3. And if I don't feel like reading any of the books in number 2, maybe I will be reading the manga of Clockwork Angel. It's really cool reading a manga and I love it so much!

And that is all I will be reading for this readathon. If I can read finish even 1 book, I will be really satisfied since I always get tired halfway especially when I reach home really late the day before...

All right, I hope you guys enjoy reading this post and will prompt you to maybe participate on that day. Until then, happy reading guys! Muacks! XD

Overview of the books and the bookmarks!

Want to know the synopsis of these books? Scroll down below! :)

Ugly Love: When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn't love at first sight. They wouldn't even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn't want love, she doesn't have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.
Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.
They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.
Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

Someday Maybe: At twenty-two years old, aspiring musician Sydney Blake has a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her good friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers Hunter cheating on her with Tori—and she is left trying to decide what to do next.
Sydney becomes captivated by her mysterious neighbor, Ridge Lawson. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the daily guitar playing he does out on his balcony. She can feel the harmony and vibrations in his music. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either: He seems to have finally found his muse. When their inevitable encounter happens, they soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one…

Clockwork Angel: A manga-adaption to the prequel of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instrumentsseries, The Infernal Devices is the story of Tessa Gray, a sixteen-year-old American girl traveling alone to Victorian London who runs afoul of the city's sordid supernatural underworld. Rescued by the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, Tessa quickly finds herself caught up in an intrigue that may very well destroy her new friends - including the two enigmatic young men, Jem and Will, who have taken her under their wing...

Clockwork Princess: The threat of Mortmain''s Infernal Devices looms as the Shadowhunters race to work out a way to counteract the mechanical monsters. Meanwhile, plans for Tessa''s marriage to Jem are underway, despite her fiancé''s failing health and the unresolved feelings between her and Will. When Tessa is captured, Will must leave his comrade behind to save the woman they both love... But with the final missing piece-Tessa herself-in Mortmain''s possession, can anything stop his plot for revenge?

All right then, that is all for this post! Hope that you guys enjoy this post as much as I enjoy writing it! I'm so excited to read it immediately! This is one of my favorite haul up till now! That's all! Until then, happy reading guys! Muacks! XD

Social Media Book Tag!

Hi guys, here's another book tag! Enjoy!

Twitter: Favourite Short Book
Hmm, short book? It's Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone then, (AKA Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).

Facebook: A book everybody pressured you to read
The Fault In Our Stars I guess. It was just so hyped up when the movie was releasing soon. I felt like I was the only reader who has not even read this book at all.

Tumblr: A book that you read before it was cool
Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. I read it way before anyone even mentioned this book, read and loved it. But now, more and more people are mentioning about this book on the booktube community. :/

MySpace: A book you don't remember whether you liked it or not.
The Shadow Falls series by C.C Hunter. I read it a long time back, but I wasn't sure whether this book is a yes or no for me though.

Instagram: A book that was so beautiful that you have to instagram it.
On my Instagram, the book which I was so excited about and had to post it right when I got it was City of Heavenly Fire (COHF) by Cassandra Clare!!!

YouTube: A book you wish would be turned into a movie
Hmm, this is kind of hard... Anna and the French Kiss I suppose. It would be a really beautiful movie with all the sceneries of Paris, and I would like to see how St. Clair would be acted out by some hot random guy. :D

Goodreads:
The Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep. I really love this book and all 6 books are released already. A lot of books? Don't worry, it's really fast paced and you will find yourself on the last book at a blink of an eye when you start on this series!

Alrighty then, this is the end of the tag. Hope you guys like this tag and had a fun time reading this book. Until then, have a great time reading this week! Muacks! XD

Tuesday 7 October 2014

Taylor Swift Book Tag!!!!

Hi guys! Saw the heading? Who's excited?! XD
Okay, let's get into this now.

1. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together: Pick a book that you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then you wanted to break up with it.
I'm going with Evermore (The Immortals Series). I really love the first book! However, as this series carries on, I became more and more irritated with this series. Breaking up with it and shall remain strangers FOREVER!

2. Red: Pick a book with a red cover!
I am choosing Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma! Red throughout the whole book :D

3. The Best Day: Pick a book that makes you nostalgic.
I think you know this book already. And that is TWILIGHT! I really love this series, I first read it when I was 11 and it has gotten me into reading books now! It was my 'first love', and I have no shame for loving it! I'm already missing this series, shall read it again soon!

4. Love Story: Pick a book with a forbidden love.
For this, I am going with Embrace by Jessica Shirvington! This book has so much forbidden love in it. Especially when you are an angel, and the guy that you loved turns out to be your fated enemy. That's so wicked!

5. I Knew You Were Trouble: Pick a book with a bad character you couldn't help but love.
This have got to be Sebastian from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. He just gives off this vibes which makes me soooo attracted to him!

6. Innocent: Pick a book someone ruined an ending for.
It's  TFIOS ( The Fault In Our Stars )... We had to do a book-discussion in school early this year and a classmate of mine was doing this book. Apparently, I wasn't all that into the hype of this book at that time and me and this classmate were getting around during break and she actually just told us that book she was reading, who really died in the end! I wasn't so pissed at that time since I thought that I won't be actually reading it, but then I did read it! It didn't help knowing who died, it was still BAM! Emotions came flowing out really hard! But still, this book was spoilt, but I don't really care now. :D (PS. If you are my classmate and you think you are the one who spoilt it, don't worry, its not you! Rest assured!)

7. Everything Has Changed: Pick a book that has gone through extensive character development.
Rose Hathaway in Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead.

8. You Belong With Me: Pick your most anticipated book release:
Hmmm, this is kind of hard... I guess its Talon by Julie Kagawa! I love the Blood Of Eden trilogy so so much, so I am pretty excited for this book which is about dragons! (I love books about dragons if you didn't know :D)

9. Forever and Always: Pick your favourite book couples.
Day and June from the Legend Trilogy. Obviously I will choose them. I just love them so much! *fangirls*

10. Come Back, Be Here: Pick the book you would least lend out to, for fear of missing it too much.
The Twilight Saga. I love this books so so much, I bought it with my own pocket money by buying the box set and it costs A LOT for someone who is just 11 years old to save up their pocket money to buy it. So expensive! But, I have never regretted getting this book at all. I cherished it until now and it was my first book to be sitting on my shelf for ages until I was 14 when I begin buying books. It has come so far with me for awhile now, can't bear to let others have it. And also, in case they spoil my books.

11. Teardrop On My Guitar: Pick a book that has made you cry.
Well, it's definitely going to be TFIOS :'(

12.Shake It Off: Pick a book that you love, but other people hates it.
Twilight, I guess? Not many people like this book and actually makes fun of it. For me, this is the book which has gotten me back into reading. LOVE!

All right, this is all for the Taylor Swift Book Tag! I hope that you guys enjoy it and have a great time reading! More posts coming soon! Until then, happy reading! Muacks! XD

Non-Spoiler Review: Anna and the French Kiss

I just finished reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins and I rate this book 4.5 out of 5.  If you guys enjoy books that has romance in it, and contemporary genre (which are fiction books set in modern world). However, I think you will only like it if you like books that has cheating in it. Which actually hits on me so hard that I decided to take away 1but then I enjoyed the ending, so I gave it 4.5 instead!

Here's a quick synopsis by me from this book that I just read:
This book is about a girl named, Anna, who was sent to France to study in the School of America in Paris SOAP,by her parents, and her life turned into a wreck, or maybe not? On her first day in this school, she met Meredith who was living in the room beside hers. She then met the oh-so-sexy Etienne St. Clair and she started to have a 'mini' crush on him. He gave her mixed signals ALL THE TIME, and both of them are afraid to confess to each other. St. Clair always tease her and stood up for her, but he has a girlfriend, Ellie! (And here's where the cheating is.) (PS this isn't exactly a spoiler, and you must have already seen it coming! :D But I am sorry if you didn't know and that this is a spoiler part. ) And then, the adventures went on with Anna, St. Clair, Meredith, Josh and Rashmi(2 other friends).

Review:
I'm not really happy with how things worked out between St.Clair and Anna. This book has cheating in it, which I don't really like, but then again, the ending was really sweet which makes it why I didn't give it a 4  instead. This book is really touching at some point, and I really can feel Anna, being chosen as second by those people who wants to hang out with her. Her jealousy for Ellie, getting bullied by Amanda, and the way she got played by Dave and his friend, Mike. I actually understood it and I could even feel it, like I was the one in place of Anna during those scenes. I really enjoyed this book, but not the cheating part. I was just like Anna, so frustrated, so confused and I really wanted to smack some sense into St. Clair.
I dislike both Anna and St. Clair 's fathers.... They just made me so angry and how they treated their child so unfairly! How can St, Clair's father just rule him and her mother's life just like that? And Anna's father, how can he just send her to this school, making her suffer, skipped her Prom in her previous school and away from her previous crush, and away from her best friend? He didn't ask what she wanted, so how can he just decide such things like it does not even matter?
I actually liked the idea that Anna thought of to treat St. Clair's father to let him study in the University that he wanted. (Wicked Smirk)
Initially I thought that the school St. Clair wanted to study in was to get away from his father, which was partially true. He actually wanted to get as close as he could to Anna since she has already wanted to go to San Francisco to become a film critic. It was just so sweet! They even promised to each other to make time during the weekdays and to stay at Anna's place during the weekend. St. Clair actually chose that University since it will only be a twenty-minute train ride to go Anna's school. They are just such a perfect couple!
I pretty much like the ending, but it was kind of rushed to fit into the last few pages, but it was still a really sweet and touching ending.

Why have I not read this sooner?! This is just pure ecstasy
If you guys enjoy what I wrote and want to venture into the worlds that Stephanie Perkins has wrote, go get your copy now, or visit the library to get it as soon as possible and read it like, NOW! I promise you that this will be a really fun and romantic read, (if you like it) and you will not regret picking it up, ever!

This is all for this post. I am now going to read other books, so stay tuned for that review. Maybe? Maybe not? You will know later. I hope that you guys have enjoyed yourself reading this post and will read the book next as well! So until then, have a great time reading! Muacks! XD

8. You guys should have heard about this book I guess. It's Panic by Lauren Oliver. The synopsis doesn't really give me the I-need-to-read-this-book-like-now feeling. However, I see quite a lot of people say that they liked this book! But then again, the rating on Goodreads is only 3.58... So I shall see for myself how good this book really is! :)

Seeing the trend? Spooky, exciting, yet with some romantic reads this month?? *wink wink* ;) Hahas

All right, that is all for now. Hopefully I don't get side-tracked or do other things other than reading this month so that I can finish reading these books that I have planned!

Synopsis:

1. Forbidden: She is pretty and talented - sweet sixteen and never been kissed. He is seventeen; gorgeous and on the brink of a bright future. And now they have fallen in love. But... they are brother and sister.
Seventeen-year-old Lochan and sixteen-year-old Maya have always felt more like friends than siblings. Together they have stepped in for their alcoholic, wayward mother to take care of their three younger siblings. As defacto parents to the little ones, Lochan and Maya have had to grow up fast. And the stress of their lives—and the way they understand each other so completely—has also also brought them closer than two siblings would ordinarily be. So close, in fact, that they have fallen in love. Their clandestine romance quickly blooms into deep, desperate love. They know their relationship is wrong and cannot possibly continue. And yet, they cannot stop what feels so incredibly right. As the novel careens toward an explosive and shocking finale, only one thing is certain: a love this devastating has no happy ending.

2. Clockwork Princess: Tessa Gray should be happy—aren't all brides happy? Yet as she prepares for her wedding, a net of shadows begins to tighten around the Shadowhunters of the London Institute. A new demon appears, one linked by blood and secrecy to Mortmain, the man who plans to use his army of pitiless automatons, the Infernal Devices, to destroy the Shadowhunters. Mortmain needs only one last item to complete his plan. He needs Tessa. And Jem and Will, the boys who lay equal claim to Tessa's heart, will do anything to save her.
(Not exactly spoiler-ish, but if you want, here's a synopsis of the FIRST book for those who have not read it yet :) Clockwork Angel)
The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them....

3. The night Circus: The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called Le Cirque des Rêves, and it is only open at night. But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway: a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them both, this is a game in which only one can be left standing. Despite the high stakes, Celia and Marco soon tumble headfirst into love, setting off a domino effect of dangerous consequences, and leaving the lives of everyone, from the performers to the patrons, hanging in the balance.

4. Anna and the French Kiss: Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend. But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

5. Lola and the Boy next door: Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion...she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit—more sparkly, more fun, more wild—the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket—a gifted inventor—steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

6. Between the Spark and the burn:Freddie once told me that the Devil created all the fear in the world.
But then, the Devil once told me that it's easier to forgive someone for scaring you than for making you cry.
The problem with River West Redding was that he'd done both to me.

The crooked-smiling liar River West Redding, who drove into Violet's life one summer day and shook her world to pieces, is gone. Violet and Neely, River's other brother, are left to worry—until they catch a two a.m. radio program about strange events in a distant mountain town. They take off in search of River but are always a step behind, finding instead frenzied towns, witch hunts, and a wind-whipped island with the thrum of something strange and dangerous just under the surface. It isn't long before Violet begins to wonder if Neely, the one Redding brother she thought trustworthy, has been hiding a secret of his own . . .

7. To All The Boys I've Loved Before: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sealed it, and hid it in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her about the letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's ex-boyfriend, Josh. As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all.

8. Panic: Panic began as so many things do in Carp, a dead-end town of 12,000 people in the middle of nowhere: because it was summer, and there was nothing else to do.
Heather never thought she would compete in Panic, a legendary game played by graduating seniors, where the stakes are high and the payoff is even higher. She’d never thought of herself as fearless, the kind of person who would fight to stand out. But when she finds something, and someone, to fight for, she will discover that she is braver than she ever thought.
Dodge has never been afraid of Panic. His secret will fuel him, and get him all the way through the game, he’s sure of it. But what he doesn't know is that he’s not the only one with a secret. Everyone has something to play for.
For Heather and Dodge, the game will bring new alliances, unexpected revelations, and the possibility of first love for each of them—and the knowledge that sometimes the very things we fear are those we need the most.

Hope you guys enjoy this post! (sorry for such a lengthy post!) Until then, Have a great time reading! Muacks XD
