November'14 Wrap Up

Hello guys! Another month has passed and it's time for another... WRAP UP!!!
I did pretty well this month *pats myself on the shoulder shamelessly*
I read a total of 5 books this month, I know, it isn't a lot, but I think that this is a good amount of books read in a busy month!

So, first of all, I finished White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout in the first week of November.

I give it a 5/5 stars!
Quick overview of this book:
This book has lots of action-pack and a bit of romance in it. This book is about Wardens (gargoyle) and demons. They are enemies, they don't get along with each other at all. However, Layla, our main character here, was actually half gargoyle and half demon! Apparently she can kill a person's soul by kissing them, and she has a crush on this gargoyle named Zayne, and she tries so hard to fit in. Then she meets Roth, a hot demon, and everything starts getting wild.

My thoughts:
This book was just so amazing, kept on me on the edge of my seat when I was reading it. I like both Zayne and Roth, especially Roth, he is just so hot!!! I totally freaked out when I found out who was Layla's parents, just like how she was so shock when they revealed it to her! It was just such a fantastic book, amazing writing, awesome plot. Definitely a 5/5 stars for me.

If you love Paranormal, Fantasy, and those hot looking demons, this is the book that you should most definitely check out!

Next, right after that I picked up Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout and finished it in the same week.

Again, another 5/5 stars for Jennifer L. Armentrout's books. They are just fantabulous! ;) Since this is the fourth book in the Lux Series, I will not give you too much detail in case I spoiled you, and also, I will try to keep my review short and sweet without revealing too much as I might, again, spoil you :)

I will give you an overview of the first book, Obisidian, and if you like it, go check it out!
This book is about a girl named Katy, who moved to West Virginia and apparently, her neighbour, is one hell of a hot alien! (Holy mama!) She saw the way he looked, tall, beautiful eyes, everything about him was making her swoon, until he opened his mouth. Daemon was just arrogant and they do NOT get along, at all. However, when a stranger tried to attack Katy, everything went all downhill. Daemon just marked Katy, and now all the enemies are able to find her. She has to stick close to Daemon in order to survive and things start getting a little bit tricky.

My thoughts on the fourth book:
It was just so fast paced, and again, kept me on the edge of my seat with all the action scenes in this book! I don't get how this Daedalus works, and the way they think, it just makes everyone suffer! They said they were trying to save people, but all I see is how they hurt people!
So, I hate Nancy, no surprise there. When reading, I just want to smack some sense into her to make her stop all the nonsense she was going on!
This book was just so smexy hot at some point, but I don't really mind it.
The ending was just such a cliff-hangar, I need the last book, like NOW!

If you like supernatural, science-fiction, hot aliens, romance, this book is just exactly what you need to check out.

If you have already read this book, you should check out my review on goodreads :)
Review for the Origin

The third book I finished would be The BrokenHearted by Amelia Kahaney. Finished this on the second week. Sadly, I only give this book 3/5 stars...
The plot for this book was kind of unbelievable, no link here and there. Not really enjoying myself this book, I gave it 3 stars was because of the action-pack in the ending, but other than that, I really fought with my reasoning to give it a 2 stars.

Here's a quick review so that I don't spoil you.
What I like about this book is that halfway to the end of the book, it has lots of action-pack, Anthem(the main character) was just so kick-ass with her new ability. I also like the development of the each character.
What I dislike is that the plot was just so questionable, there were so many loopholes in this book and makes it hard to link everything up. This book also does not have a good development of the plot, a really confusing introduction to this world. This book just disappoints me.

My thoughts have a lot of spoilers, so you can check out my review here:
Review for The BrokenHearted

If you like superheroes, romance, fantasy, science fiction, and dystopian, you can try checking this book.

The fourth book which I finished on the third week is Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier. I feel that I have been mentioning this book in my blog this month. This book deserves a 5/5 stars, it's just so damn good!

Here's a quick overview of this book:
Gwyneth Shephard has a beautiful cousin Charlotte who has been preparing all her life to be a time-traveler. However, it was actually Gwen who first traveled to another time instead! Now, Gwen has to find out about her ability, brush up on her history and work with Gideon, who was also another time traveler from another family that passes the gene through its male line, and over the time, they were very important. Now, they have to travel through time to discover the mystery of 18th century and contemporary London to find out who they can trust.

My thoughts on this book:
This book was just so mindblowing at the ending, when everything clicked together right at the end of the page! I like how Gwen was so bad-ass, she was just so witty and she always made the funniest comment at everything! Her friend, Lesley, was just the perfect sidekick! I like how Gideon always bicker with Gwen about everything, they are just so cute and funny when they always travel together to other eras.

If you like historical fiction, time traveling, science fiction, romance, fantasy, this is the right book for you.
Fun fact: This book is actually written in German and was translated to English and many other languages!

And last but not least, the fifth book that I finished was actually an audio book. If you followed me on my twitter, you will know that this is my first time listening to an audio book and it's Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. I am giving this book 4.5/5 stars.

Thoughts on this book:
I enjoyed this audio book a lot, however there was so much drama inside, that I took away 1 star.
This book was so amazing, breathtaking, and it made me swoon while reading it. I like Travis and Abby together, but when they are always bickering over small little stuff all the time, it just gets tiring. However, because I like the way it ended where everything was all cute and sweet, I gave it another 0.5 stars. I would only recommend this book if you are 17 and above or if you are okay with all the erotic scenes, not a lot, but this book still has these scenes.
But other than this book was really good.
I liked how America and Abby were like good friends, and they understood each other like they were sisters. The ending was so lovely, and when Abby and Travis were trying to explain the whole situation to America who were freaking out at them. It was just so hilarious and I loved that part.

If you like romance, chick lit, contemporary, and is currently into New Adult, I would recommend you to go for this book. Included that you are okay with those smexy hot scenes(not a lot) in the book.

You guys should also check out the audio book version, it is so cool listening to the narrator narrating the book. It felt like watching a movie but without the scenes in front of you. It is worth checking out, you won't regret it.

All right, that is all for this month's wrap up. I really enjoyed myself this month, and hopefully you guys will be interested in reading these books that I have mentioned. Another post will be up soon so stay tune for it! Until then, happy reading this week guys! Muacks! XD

Opposite Book Tag!

Hello book lovers, welcome back to my blog! Today I have another book tag! I found it on Goodreads and decided to do it since... it's fun? :D All right, let's get started!

First book in your collection/Last book you bought:
First book: James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl! Have to get it for my school when I was in 3rd grade. :)
Last book: The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson.

A cheap book/An expensive book:

The cheapest book that I have would be Flour Babies by Anne Fine which costs me about $8 which I had to got it for Literature in school when I was in 8th grade.
The most expensive book that I have on my shelf is actually a box set, and that is the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer and it costed me about $60.

A book with a male protagonist/One with a female protagonist:

A male protagonist which I like is Day Wing from the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu.
As for the female protagonist, that would most definitely be Gwyneth from the Precious Stone trilogy by Kerstin Gier. She is just so awesome!

A book you read fast/One that took you long to read:

The fastest book that I have read is Ruby Red from the Precious Stone trilogy by Kerstin Gier and Obsidian from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Both books were finished in 3 days and was when I was really busy.
The book that I read the longest would be Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell. Let me tell you, it wasn't bad, it was such a great book! It took me about 3 months to finish reading, but it was because I have lots of homework and tests during that period of time and I couldn't even squeeze out an hour to read! I was always doing my homework and revising everyday!

Pretty cover/Ugly cover:

A pretty cover would be My True Love Gave To Me: Twelve Holiday Stories. OMGosh, that book is just so gorgeous! The hardbacks had this velvety feeling to it, and it also had this neon pink at the sides of the books, it just makes the book so beautiful!
An ugly cover would be all the books from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The books are awesome, but the cover, OMG it is the most cheesiest cover I ever know. It's kind of embarrassing to bring it out to the public to read it! >.<

A national book/An international book:

A national book that I know of would be the books by Low Kay Hwa. I have never read any of his books, but my friends love his books.
An international book that I like would be Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare :)

A thin book/A thick book:

A thin book that I have read would be James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.
A thick book that I have on my bookshelf is City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.

Fiction book/Non-fiction book:

A fiction book that I love is, once again, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare.
I rarely read non-fiction book, but the book which I read in 7th grade would be a book on Graffiti. I love art, and this book just opened up my mind about art and let me know more about the different types of art.

Very (way too) romantic book/Action book:

Way too romantic book? Oh no, there is NO SUCH THING AS WAY TOO ROMANTIC! :D One of my favourite romantic book would be The Fault in Our Stars. Romantic, cute, sweet, and also, sad... :'(
Action book? Killer Frost (the 6th book) from the Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep. This book is just such an amazing book. The main character Gwen is just so kick-ass!

A book that made you happy/One that made you sad:

A book that made me happy would be Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier, I enjoyed myself the most while I was reading this book! I love it so much!
A book which made me all sad was The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. This book was just so sad! I cried when I got to that sad part and read with tears rolling down my face like it was raining till the end of the book! I couldn't even calm done when I finished the book and was in such a huge mess! :c

All right guys. that is all for this post! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this book tag and maybe get to know more about what I read! A next post will be up soon, so stay tuned! Until then, happy reading this weekend book lovers! :) Muacks! XD

The Ultimate Book Tag #1

Hello, book lovers, I am back again with another book tag that I found online and found it really interesting so I decided to share it with you guys! Now let us begin with this tag! :D

1. Do you get sick while reading in the car?
No, I read a lot when I am in the car.

2. Which author's writing style is completely unique to you and why?
Cassandra Clare, her writing style just makes me enjoy reading her books so much! Her books just does not disappoint me and makes me want to read more and more of her books!

3. Harry Potter Series or the Twilight Saga? Give 3 points to defend your answer.
Definitely going with the Twilight Saga.
1. It was my first book which I read that got me to love reading so much now.
2. Vampires, I just love vampires.
3. The writing style of the author makes me enjoy the book so much more!

4. Do you carry a book bag? If so, what is it in (besides books...)?
Yeah, I have a Cassandra Clare book bag when I got my copy of City of Heavenly Fire. Loving it so much, it can fit lots of things inside! Besides my valuables, I currently have Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier.

5. Do you smell your books?
Yes. Don't you dare judge me, I know you guys do it too! :P

6. Books with or without little illustrations?
I like books that have little illustrations, it's easier for me to picture the whole storyline much more easier.

7. What book did you love reading but discovered later it wasn't quality writing? (Ex. I read Twilight before I read HP and thought the writing was amazing but read HP and now think Twilight is a little bit of a joke.)
Before I knew about the world of booktube, I always thought that all the books are of top quality, I would always read it and think,"Wow! This is just such an amazing book!" However, now that I start getting exposed to new books and now that I think about it, I realised that actually some books are just an average read compared to others. So for me, I always thought that I actually loved The Immortals series by Alyson Noel was a really great book, but in actual fact, after the second book, everything just went crashing down and gets on my nerve as I was reading it.

8. Do you have any funny stories involving books from your childhood? Please share!
Hmm, I don't think I have any funny stories from my childhood, but there is one which actually happened quite recently.
I was at my local library looking around, trying to find a few books that I wanted. The books are all categorised into the names of the author's last name, so as I was walking beside the shelves towards the 'L-M' of the author's names to find a book which I wanted, a teenage guy was standing there, looking at the books. So when I was nearing him, he was suddenly shocked and jumped, looking at me. So I thought, "what a weirdo he is" and walked to him and to the end of that shelf. So I took a really long time looking at each book, inching towards him really slowly, and I was crossing my fingers that he would quickly walk away, but no, he was standing at that exact spot without moving while I was already nearing him. But the way he was standing, he blocked my view of the books so I walked away to the other shelves at the back. After a while, he walked to the same shelf as me, and I took this chance and walk back to the previous shelf that he was, and looked at the books which I had missed. When I saw a book that I wanted, I crouched down to get it and read the synopsis, and suddenly, he walked back towards the same shelf as me! So I quickly stood and he crouched down beside me and took one book out of its shelf. I quickly walked away and checked out other books at other shelves at the front, and he actually walk towards me again, which freaked me out really badly, and I started panicking. (If you are wondering if he called out to me or not, I wasn't sure as I was listening to my phone with my headphones on, and my music was pretty loud, so I couldn't hear anything... Oops?) Right after that, he walked away and at that time, I found it quite funny that I freaked out.

9. What is the thinnest book on your shelf?
James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl.

10. What is the thickest book on your shelf?
City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.

11. Do you write as well as read? Do you see yourself in the future as being an author?
Not really, my English isn't really very perfect, and right now, I have to balance two languages in school, English and Chinese, which is quite difficult. However, I am practicing writing with hopes that in the future that I can be an author though, hopefully it will work out!

12. When did you get into reading?
I have a mother which loves reading, and I was being influenced to love reading since really young by her. She even brought me to the library to look for books with some words and pictures when I was 4 years old. Slowly, I started to like reading, and when I was 10, I begin reading big books of 300-500 pages, which is more than what my friends would read. However, it was only at age 11 that I got my first box set which is the Twilight Saga and read it, which is when I realised that I actually love reading, and it is also when I started to get into reading until now.

13. What is your favourite classic book?
I'm not sure if this book counts as a classic, but it is Flour Babies by Anne Fine. I had to read this book in 8th grade for my literature class and we had to make our own flour baby ( just a cloth wrapping a flour bag and you can design it as you like) and we had to take good care of it for one year. We had to bring it to school everyday, and if you are not seen with your 'baby' any time of the day in school, your marks will be deducted. We also had to read this book and had to take the exam about this book. Normally, I wouldn't remember the plot of a classic book or even be interested in reading any classic books, but because of the activities that we had to do when we were reading this book, it left such a great impression on me that I realised that this was actually one of my favourite classic book that I have ever read.

14. In school was your best subject Language Arts/ English?
Umm, my other subjects aren't very good, but English for me was quite fun. I had great teachers for my English subject and I always enjoyed myself.

15. If you were give a book as present that you had read before and hated... what would you do?
I would just accept it but give it to one of my friend who also likes reading.

16. What is a lesser known series that you know of that is similar to Harry Potter or the Hunger Games?
The Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep. It has lots of action packed into this book and it is just simply wonderful! I love this series so much, yet it is so underrated...

17. What is a bad habit you always do (besides rambling) while filming?
Right now, I don't film, but one habit I have is facepalming myself when the character did something stupid.

18. What is your favourite word?
"I'm hungry", "I don't know", "whatever"

19. Are you a nerd, dork, or dweeb? Or all the above?
Last time, my friends kept saying that I am a nerd, but I myself think that I am all of the above. XD

20. Vampires or Fairies? Why?
Vampires! I hate fairies, they are just such sneaky pesky little creatures, ugh... Vampires are so cool, I like their fangs, and that they suck blood ;)

21. Shapeshifters or Angels? Why?
Both I guess, they are both so cool!

22. Spirits or Werewolves? Why?
Werewolves, I don't really like spirits, they give me the creeps.

23. Zombies or Vampires?
Vampire! :D Again, not a really huge fan of zombies.

24. Love Triangle or Forbidden Love.
I don't really like Love Triangles, they just make me so irritated when I read about it. But for Forbidden Love, now this is just such an amazing plot that I like!

25. AND FINALLY: Full on romance books or action-packed with a few love scenes mixed in?
Actually, I like both. I always read action-packed with a few love scenes, but right now, I am more into the mood of reading romance books. :D

All right, this is the end of the book tag! Another post will be up soon, until then, happy reading guys! Muacks! XD

*Drumroll* Ta-da! Here's an overview picture of the books that I got!

Want to see the front view of the books as well? Here it is!
'Sweet Evil' by Wendy Higgins
'Rebel Belle' by Rachel Hawkins

'Made For You' by Melissa Marr
'The Kiss of Deception' by Mary E. Pearson

All right, now let us begin with the details of the books!

Rebel Belle: Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a Homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in at the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn for the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength and lethal fighting instincts.
Just when life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy and possibly Harper's least favorite person. But things get complicated when Harper starts falling for him—and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.
The Kiss Of Deception:
A princess must find her place in a reborn world.
She flees on her wedding day.
She steals ancient documents from the Chancellor's secret collection.
She is pursued by bounty hunters sent by her own father.
She is Princess Lia, seventeen, First Daughter of the House of Morrighan.
The Kingdom of Morrighan is steeped in tradition and the stories of a bygone world, but some traditions Lia can't abide. Like having to marry someone she's never met to secure a political alliance.
Fed up and ready for a new life, Lia flees to a distant village on the morning of her wedding. She settles in among the common folk, intrigued when two mysterious and handsome strangers arrive—and unaware that one is the jilted prince and the other an assassin sent to kill her. Deceptions swirl and Lia finds herself on the brink of unlocking perilous secrets—secrets that may unravel her world—even as she feels herself falling in love.

Made For You: When Eva Tilling wakes up in the hospital, she’s confused—who in her sleepy little North Carolina town could have hit her with their car? And why? But before she can consider the question, she finds that she’s awoken with a strange new skill: the ability to foresee people’s deaths when they touch her. While she is recovering from the hit-and-run, Nate, an old flame, reappears, and the two must traverse their rocky past as they figure out how to use Eva’s power to keep her friends—and themselves—alive. But while Eva and Nate grow closer, the killer grows increasingly frantic in his attempt to get to Eva.

Sweet Evil: Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but it isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

We are finally at the end of the post! Are you interested in reading any of these books mentioned above?

Here's a fun fact, the reason I got Sweet Evil, is because it was mentioned in Origin from the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout which sparked my interest in wanting to get this book!

All right, that's all for this post! Stay tune for other posts coming up soon! Until then, happy reading book lovers! Muacks! XD

November'14 Book Haul

Ohayo guys! I bought a book this month! It was highly anticipated and it came out on 11 November, and I only managed to buy it today!

So let's get started and I shall show you the book which I bought!

Tada!

Isn't it just BEAUTIFUL?! Especially with Magnus Bane on the cover! Just fabulous!

This book is by 3 authors, Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Muareen Johnson.

Here's the synopsis which is written at the back of the book!

It is not easy being Magnus Bane. As a warlock, he's often called upon to fix the problems of others. His life has been long, and his loves have been many. And Magnus has a way of making sure he's in the right plae at the right - or perhaps wrong - time. The French Revolution, Prohibition, the first great battle between Valentine and the New York Institute...
Magnus was there, and usually in the middle of it. Magnus will never be able to tell all of his tales. No one would believe him.
But these eleven stories shed a little light on his often inscrutable character.
They are the stories he probably wished had never got out.

Such an interesting synopsis. Plus there is also illustrations at the start of every story and also a quote! Lovely, it just makes me want to stop all the books that I am reading currently just to read this book!

All right, that is all for this post. I hope you are as excited as me about the release of this book, so you should go and check it out! And also, read it as soon as possible! Until then, have a great time reading this weekend! Muacks! XD

Excited to get into the details of the books?
Let's get started!

Gone Girl: On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife's head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media--as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents--the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter--but is he really a killer?
As the cops close in, every couple in town is soon wondering how well they know the one that they love. With his twin sister, Margo, at his side, Nick stands by his innocence. Trouble is, if Nick didn't do it, where is that beautiful wife? And what was in that silvery gift box hidden in the back of her bedroom closet?

The BrokenHearted:  A teenage girl is transformed into a reluctant superhero and must balance her old life with the dark secret of who she has become.
Prima ballerina Anthem Fleet is closely guarded by her parents in their penthouse apartment. But when she meets the handsome Gavin at a party on the wrong side of town, she is immediately drawn into his dangerous world. Then, in a tragic accident, Anthem falls to her death. She awakes in an underground lab, with a bionic heart ticking in her chest. As she navigates her new life, she uncovers the sinister truth behind those she trusted the most, and the chilling secret of her family lineage…and her duty to uphold it.

Ruby Red: Gwyneth Shepherd's sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon--the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

The Clockwork Scarab: Evaline Stoker and Mina Holmes never meant to get into the family business. But when you’re the sister of Bram and the niece of Sherlock, vampire hunting and mystery solving are in your blood. And when two society girls go missing, there’s no one more qualified to investigate.
Now fierce Evaline and logical Mina must resolve their rivalry, navigate the advances of not just one but three mysterious gentlemen, and solve murder with only one clue: a strange Egyptian scarab. The stakes are high. If Stoker and Holmes don’t unravel why the belles of London society are in such danger, they’ll become the next victims.

Origin: Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
All Katy can do is survive.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Together, they can face anything.
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?
And will they even be together?

All right, hope you enjoyed this post and can get a better idea of these books that were mentioned! Have a great time reading this weekend people! Muacks! XD

November'14 TBR

It's finally another month guys! So here is my To-Be-Read for this month!

1. White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
2. Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
3. The Brokenhearted by Amelia Kahaney
4. Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Synopsis:
White Hot Kiss: One kiss could be the last.
Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.
Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.
Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.
But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne… it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

October 2014 Wrap Up!

Ohayo guys! This is my wrap up for the books which I have read last month!

1. First I finished Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins in the beginning of the month. 4.5/ 5 for this book.
You can read my review here: http://seahyouying.blogspot.sg/2014/10/non-spoiler-review-anna-and-french-kiss.html
2. Next I finished reading Scarlet by Marissa Meyer, it was a really good book!
4/5 for this book!
Review:
I love Wolf, like he is just really cool, giving off this mysterious vibe. However, Thorne makes me just so irritated and I feel like sewing his mouth up for once. He could not stop gloating over himself and always give some 'smart' answers that are not needed.
I didn't enjoy Cinder's part of the story until about 80% of the book when the truth came out. I preferred Scarlet's story and her whole adventure with Wolf. He is just so scary yet charming at the same time!
This story was just so sad halfway through, I was just so kept up with the whole story especially pass the middle where everything started to get really fast pace.
Love this story, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did with the first book, Cinder.

3. Within a week, I finished Between the Spark and the Burn by April Genevieve Tucholke!
4/5!
Review:
I didn't like this book as much as I liked the first book. This book was really confusing, and it's not helping with all this plot twists. Maybe it's also because I read the first book like about a year ago, and can't exactly remember all the important details. But oh well, it was still okay when I read this book.
What I hate about this book:
The plot twists.... It did come as a shocking twist and will throw you off your seats, but then it doesn't exactly make sense and the story didn't went very smoothly in some places. I also dislike the ending. This is a duology, but the ending... It seems like it is leading to a third book... It doesn't feel very satisfying after reading it as I was just so confused and have no idea what was going on...
I didn't like how River was in this book as well.
Initially I thought that Neely was a young child, turns out to be a hot teenage guys like River... Oops...
This book was just so insane and really really fast paced, which is what I really liked about this book.
4
 for this book!

4. Last but not least, I finished Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma!
4/5 also! If anyone of you who wants to read this book, warning: Do not read this when you are in a bad mood and only if okay with M18 Scenes...

As there is spoiler in this book, you can read it here on my Goodreads! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/738217280?book_show_action=false

All right, that is all for my October Wrap Up! At least I managed to read 4 books which is YAY! :D
Stay tuned for my november 2014 TBR! Until then, happy reading! Muacks! XD
